BEAUTIFUL FOOD CREATES MEMORIES

The Artisan Apron was inspired by a handmade apron (yes, that is the actual apron in the photo above!) I received as a gift from my Aunt to wear on our annual holiday baking day. The apron was a surprise for me, along with the other women in my family. Each apron was unique, with a slightly different pattern or design. I loved it from the moment I put it on.

That apron became a staple in my kitchen over the last 15+ years, not just for baking days.  Slightly worn and faded from a million cycles in the washing machine...a good sign of a many meals made, recipes tweaked and events hosted.  Each time I put it on, I think about the memories that were made simply by slipping the apron over my neck.

I tuned my naturally creative background to focus on food while taking culinary classes in college. I recognized the joy food can truly bring people. Like a new found love,  I fell head over heels for hosting and bringing people together with food.  Ultimately, life led me to a career as an executive in the health & wellness information technology space. But, I never strayed too far from an excuse to "hostess with the most-ess", bake a surprise for a neighbor or share a recipe I just tweaked with a friend. All while wearing the apron, of course.

All of the years I spent focused on growing my professional career finally led to an opportunity to focus on The Artisan Apron in 2022. My passion now is providing the right spread for you...

tastefully curated and effortless!

My goal is to create beautiful food with a creative approach!  Charcuterie Boards, Grazing Tables and food for private events in Chicago's North Shore and surrounding areas. We often think it takes a big party to create a memory... sometimes, it just takes the right food.

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your memories! I look forward to making something wonderful for you.

Cheers,

Lisa
